About

After graduating, I got work in the Office of Public Relations, the department responsible for promotions, informational materials, and website maintenance. I started by supporting the graphic designer and as I proved my skills my role expanded. The first major project was combining the student handbook with a daily planner, intended to help encourage the students to have the rules readily available.

Philadelphia University

Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences changed is name in 1999 upon gaining university status.

Thomas Jefferson University

In 2017, Philadelphia University merged with the notable medical school.

The next project was developing an interactive map, in Adobe Flash, highlighting the buildings and facilities of the campus. I expanded my ActionScript knowledge to program the map and optimize for quick web functionality.

Next I created a 3D visualization of The Kanbar Campus Center and The Athletic Center that were being constructed. I used materials provided by the architects and interior designers to create the models in Cinema 4D. I animated flythroughs to showcase the facilities' features and design. I also used DVD Studio Pro to make the final videos readily availible for promotional events and fund raisers.

Accomplishments

  • 3D visualization of the campus center and athletic center.
  • Interactive map highlighting the buildings on campus.
  • Creating daily planner/student handbook.
