For my senior project I joined with the Richard Schultz Furniture Company as part of Philadelphia University's effort to bring in outside companies to partner with students. The company was looking for promotional materials that would highlight the quality of their furniture, and distinguish them from cheaper, mass produced products.

A notable designer of outdoor furniture whose company was acquired by Knoll in 2012.
1966 Collection
One of the first modern outdoor furniture lines and regarded as a category standard ever since.
I proposed animated exploded views of furniture with a flythrough highlighting the key parts and materials of each product. I used Cinema 4D to model and animate each piece, edited and added motion graphics with Final Cut Pro and After Effects, and created music using Soundtrack Pro. Finally, I used DVD Studio Pro to publish so it can be run on screens at conventions and events.
Several years later the company contracted me to refresh the videos and make some minor adjustments. They noted the videos were also helpful internally for instructing workers on proper assembly of the furniture.
Objectives
- Show the furnitures' high quality construction and materials.
- Use exploded views to educate about assembly and parts.
- Formated for promotional use at conventions and events.
